Shelagh Haynes

Shelagh graduated from Queen's University with a Master's of Science in Physical Therapy in 2009. She completed her undergraduate education, also at Queen's, in Physical and Health Education and Life Sciences. She had a variety of experiences through her student physiotherapy placements, ranging from a rural hospital serving the First Nations population in Moose Factory, Ontario to a large teaching hospital in the neurophysiotherapy department in London, England. Her physiotherapy interests include health promotion and prevention strategies, orthopedics, and community-based rehabiliation. She has completed training in acupuncture, Pilates for health care professionals, therapeutic taping and the McKenzie approach to treating spinal pathology. She currently works in the physiotherapy clinic treating private, MVA and WSIB clients, as well as in retirement homes and nursing homes in the area.
