On Friday, February 19th, Exercise Therapist and Kinesiologist, Kait Hoke, made her way to Glenburnie Public School to partake in a Health Fair organzied by the Queen's Teacher's College students on placement. Miss Hoke conducted an interactive session with the students about alternative ways to be active without having to participate in organized sports. Through participating in various activities and discussing how to be active on a daily basis, the students could come away with the tools and knowledge to help keep them active and healthy throughout their lives. In addition to a KBM representative, others were present as well to discuss healthy life choices such as unhealthy addictions, nutrition, and yoga. We are proud of our involvement in such a successful health fair geared towards keeping adolescents active and healthy! Well done, Glenburnie Public School, for taking actions to help bring about a healthier future to kids in Kingston!
